Groundbreaking Israel curriculum now key component of studies in 16 Yeshivot and seminaries
June 10, 2009 – Jerusalem, Israel – More than 400 English-speaking Yeshiva students spending the year in Israel recently completed The David Project’s pioneering Israel education curriculum on the Arab-Israeli conflict. The third year in the running, this represents the first time that Yeshivot (schools for religious Jewish study) have integrated an extensive course on the modern State of Israel, as well as Israel advocacy, on such a large scale. The course, developed and taught by The David Project Center for Jewish Leadership, a non-profit Israel education organization, provides students with the necessary skills, education, and confidence to speak up for Israel when they reach college campuses or return to their local communities.
